Mothers get less sleep than fathers

A new study confirms that moms get less sleep than fathers. The researchers discovered that having children in the house leads to sleep deprivation in many mothers. Motherhood reduced the number of hours a mother slept each night and this had an adverse effect on mothers' energy levels and tiredness during the day. The fathers' sleep remained unaffected. Sleeping less increases the risk of diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease and depression.

Hogwarts

In the background there are rocks, at the top there is the castle and on the left you can see hills. Martin Luther King Jr.

                         

Martin Luther King was an American Baptist minister, activist, humanitarian and leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement. He was born on January 15th 1929 in Atlanta. He is the best known for his role in the advancement of civil right using nonviolent civil disobedience based on his Christian beliefs. In 1963 he organised a civil rights march in Washington DC. Here he made his famous speech "I have a dream" in which he called for an end to racism in the United States. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964 to honour his courageous work. He was assassinated in 1968 when he was in the town of Memphis, Tennessee. His death created a stronger desire to continue with the civil rights movement. People remember him every year in the United States: Martin Luther King Jr. Dayt is celebrated on the third Monday in January.

The Holocaust

Stephen Ambrose said:
'The Holocaust was the most evil crime ever committed.'


I chose this quotation because many innocent people died, even if they struggled for survival. There is nothing that compares to the Holocaust.

H&M is a Swedish retail-clothing company. It was founded at Västerås in 1947 by Erling Persson. The first name was Hennes, which means "for her", but Mauritz Widfrass included menswear collection, in fact, the name changed to Hennes & Mauritz. H&M exists in 61 countries.

Harrods

                                  

Harrods is a big upmarket department store, in London. Charles Henry Harrod is the founder and first established his business in 1824. The Harrods motto is Omnia Ominibus Ubique-All Things for All People. Harrods has had a dress code policy. You can find anything and it's expensive.

Halloween

Halloween is a yearly celebration on 31 October. The time in the liturgical year dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints, martyrs, and all the faithful departed believers.Typical festive Halloween activities include trick-or-treating attending costume parties, decorating, carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns, lighting bonfires, apple bobbing, visiting haunted attractions, playing pranks, telling scary stories and watching horror films. In many parts of the world, the Christian religious observances of All Hallows' Eve, including attending church services and lighting candles on the graves of the dead.
